Elizabeth Gloeggler
for Mayor
“We can do amazing things for Montvale. One of my goals is to get more people involved to share new ideas and perspectives. I look forward to meeting more of my neighbors and hearing about what matters to them. Let’s work together to make this town better.”
Allison Barnes
for Council
“My main motivation for running for the council is the desire for Montvale to be a community where ALL residents feel comfortable, safe, and welcome - a place where we can learn from each others’ differences and celebrate each other.”
Daniel Galeon
for Council
“Getting into the details can reveal so much. Being heavily involved in the Democratic County Committee, Christian Democrats of America, and outreach for admissions for Yale, UC Berkeley and UCLA has taught me that success comes when you combine your ambitions with your beliefs. Montvale has an open heart for our kids, our businesses, and the families in our communities to make the combination they want to achieve, proving every day the American dream is alive in our small town.”

For Mayor
I have called Montvale home for most of my life having grown up on Montvale Avenue, attended Montvale schools and graduated from Pascack Hills High School. When my husband, Jan Eggers and I were looking for a place to raise our two little girls, we knew Montvale was the place. We bought our dream house on Hillcrest Avenue in 2011.
I am so lucky to have a job I love! As the CEO for Literacy NJ, I get to see people transform their lives. I see a dad read to their child for the first time or a mom get their high school diploma. I truly believe in the power of literacy.
When I decided to run for Mayor I met with residents and listened to your ideas and concerns. I’ve heard a few common themes. You care about building community and want to see more town events that bring people together. You are tired of the endless development with no plan for open space, safer intersections, less traffic or more sidewalks. You want your town government to work with the county and state to bring resources to Montvale. You want your elected and appointed officials to reflect and represent our diverse community. You want to make sure Montvale is a welcoming and inclusive town where all voices have a seat at the table. I am running to make sure all these voices are heard.
As Mayor of Montvale I will:
~Work with you on common sense solutions to the issues that matter most to Montvale families.
~Appoint volunteers to borough committees who reflect the diverse perspectives in our town.
~Recycle in all town facilities and integrate sustainable energy for municipal utilities to save taxpayer dollars.
~Use my experience as a grant writer to seek out funding opportunities for the borough.
~Continue the work I start on Council by increasing engagement on MonTVale TV so you are more informed about what is happening in the borough.
~Mobilize a Leadership Council to create connectivity between the town, schools and businesses to share resources.
Thank you for all your input and support.
